That dancin’ clown!

Watching It at the cinema was my absolute horror highlight of 2017, so I was super excited to sit down and revisit it on Blu Ray, which I finally got around to doing this weekend.

Guess what? It still bangs. Loved it.

Creepy ol’ Creep is creepy

I really like Creep (the 2014 version, not the unwatchably bad 2004 one) and was a bit surprised to hear there would be a sequel.

I’m pleased to report that Creep 2 is super duper fun, even better than the original.

I watched The Purge, that’s the whole post

Continuing the theme of using this blog more as a place to store things that I’m interested in while working on more demanding creative work offline, I finally watched The Purge.

I’d been meaning to watch it for ages. It wasn’t bad. Nothing special, but interesting enough to keep me keen for the sequel.

Fabulous Muscles is fabulous

I realise that since I’ve been working on a longform writing project, this blog has become more of a dumping ground for things that are on my mind, but I’ve decided to be ok with that, so here’s another short post.

I totally forgot how great Xiu Xiu’s Fabulous Muscles is as an album. The track I Luv The Valley OH! in particular was a big old anthem for me in my early 20s, and I’m amazed that I seem to have completely forgotten about its existence for a decade, only to rediscover it now.

I’m glad I did. The end.
